Sax Solstice sponsored by Sonaré Winds, will offer a unique opportunity for every level of saxophonist (professional, amateur and student) to get together to celebrate the joys of the holiday season.

Modeled after “A TUBA CHRISTMAS," we will extend an open invitation to any person who owns a saxophone and a music stand to take part in a day long saxophone event. The day will begin with a 2 hour rehearsal and will culminate with a performance of standard holiday music with Keilwerth Saxophone artists, Ron Blake and Dan Moretti. The mass choir, conducted by Jeffrey Leonard (Music Director, Lexington High School), will consist of every type of saxophone (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone and bass) those participants own.

LOGISTICS OF EVENT

The event will take place on Sunday, December 21^st at Cary Hall in Lexington, MA

Tentative schedule for the day is as follows:

11:00 AM Open Registration for Participants

12:00 PM Rehearsal

2:00 PM Lunch break (food on your own)

3:30 PM Call for concert

4:00 PM Concert

REGISTRATION

Registration is required for this event.

Registration fee is $15 for advance registration or $25 on the day of the event. The registration fee will include the music for the performance and a Keilwerth Sax artist poster.(Registration fees are non-refundable.)

Participants will also have to opportunity to see the entire line of Sonaré Winds instruments including our line of Sonaré Flutes and Trumpets, Keilwerth Saxophones (student to professional level) and York Brass Band instruments.
